For a whole year it's been "careful" and "not in your mouth." A cake smash flips all of that: your baby gets to squish, grab, taste, and make a glorious mess. The reactions are priceless — from a cautious first poke to wide-eyed disbelief to a two-fisted, frosting-covered grin. Those genuine, unscripted moments are exactly what I capture.

How a session works

We usually start with a few sweet photos of your freshly-turned-one — birthday outfit or little crown welcome. Then comes the cake. What happens next can't be scripted, and that's the whole point. Every baby reacts differently, and all of them are right:

Some dive straight in, others need a minute — both make wonderful photos.
A wipeable mat protects your floor.
A bib, or just a diaper — whatever lets the mess happen freely.

Because I come to you, your baby stays in familiar surroundings — no strange studio, no driving a tired one-year-old across the KMC. If they get fussy, we pause; there's no rush. And the cleanup?
